IVF and the IVF Process

IVF refers to In-vitro Fertilization. It is an assisted reproductive technology that helps couples in conceiving a child. With the advancements in the medical sciences, various methods have been developed to help couples conceive a child. But it is a sad fact that some women can't become pregnant naturally. IVF is one of the modern fertility treatments. It is beneficial to those couples who are unable to conceive a child naturally for a long time.

The IVF Process has 4 stages, In the first step, the woman is given the medicines to enable her ovaries to release the eggs. Once the eggs get matured to be fertilized. The eggs are retrieved by the doctor. After the semen from the man is retrieved and the egg is fertilized with the sperms in a laboratory. When the embryo is formed it is then transferred to the woman's uterus.
